Gerard brings a wealth of life experience to his storytelling. Having spent 45 years in the restaurant industry, including 39 as the proud owner and operator of Alfresco’s Italian Bistro in Oneonta, New York, alongside his wife of 42 years, Elisabeth. A lifelong learner with a BA in History, Gerard’s enduring passion for exploring the past has fueled his love of storytelling. That passion takes center stage in his debut children’s book, My Gratituitree, a touching tale about a young boy’s discovery of the magic of gratitude. The book is a family collaboration, beautifully illustrated by Gerard and Elisabeth’s son, James C. Webster, a professional Illustrator. With My Gratituitree, Gerard combines his love for history, family, and meaningful storytelling, inviting readers of all ages to find joy and connection in life’s small wonders.
