BOOK RELEASE CELEBRATION Open to the public.
To celebrate the launch and in honor of Stress Awareness Month, the author and illustrator, will be signing autographs and giving away exciting door prizes. A significant aspect of this event is the commitment to give back to the community: for every book sold, one book will be donated to a youth-serving organization. The goal is to donate **100 books** to support children who may benefit from these crucial emotional wellness tools.
In Tell Me About Your Happy Place: A Shy Giraffe Story, young readers are guided to imagine their own happy places, helping them experience a sense of calm during stressful moments. This book aims to empower children with essential tools for emotional regulation and resilience, fostering a healthier mindset.

Author & Illustrator host Story Time and Art Activity
Author Haabiba Rothenberg-Whitney and illustrator Dawn Rossi visited the Community Music School of Springfield last week to offer a story time book reading and participate in an art activity. The activity is based on a page from the children’s picture book Tell Me About Your Happy Place: A Shy Giraffe Story. In the story, the Shy Giraffe uses her imagination to visit safe, happy places. One place she imagines is a ladybug playground! Pre-schoolers enjoyed crafting their own ladybugs, drawing their own happy places under the ladybug’s peek-a-boo wings. Schools and other community programs may contact Rothenberg-Whitney to schedule story time with the author.
